1. About the site

Delta Patcher Guide (“the site”, “we”) provides informational guides about Delta Patcher and XDelta patching. The site is independent and isn’t affiliated with the developer of Delta Patcher.

2. Informational content only

Guides are provided for general information. We work to keep them accurate and current, but software, operating systems and third-party services change, and we can’t guarantee that every instruction is complete, current or right for your situation. Always keep backups of your files before patching.

3. Third-party software

Delta Patcher is developed by Marco Calautti and distributed under the GNU General Public License v2.0. Your use of it is governed by that license, not by these terms. The software is provided by its authors without warranty, as stated in the license. We don’t distribute the software; download links point to the official sources.

4. Your responsibility for files you patch

You’re responsible for making sure you have the right to use, modify and patch any file you work with, and for complying with applicable laws and licenses. The site doesn’t provide, link to or help obtain copyrighted games, ROMs or other files.

The site links to websites we don’t control, such as GitHub, Flathub and project documentation. We aren’t responsible for their content, availability or practices.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t use the site in a way that damages it or impairs its availability, attempts to gain unauthorized access, or scrapes it in a way that places an unreasonable load on its servers.

7. Site content

The text, diagrams and design of this site are protected by copyright. You may link to any page and quote short excerpts with attribution. Code snippets and commands shown in guides may be used freely. Product names belong to their respective owners.

8. No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from following its guides, including loss of data or files. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site means you accept the current terms.
