Please use a clear subject line, such as “Correction: installation page” or “Broken link”.

When to ask someone else
| You need help with… | Best place to ask |
|---|---|
| A bug or crash in Delta Patcher itself | Delta Patcher issue tracker on GitHub (opens external site) |
| A specific patch that won’t apply | The patch author or the community where you found the patch |
| The xdelta3 command-line tool | xdelta project (opens external site) |
| Finding games, ROMs or files to patch | We can’t help with this |
We’re an independent guide, not the developer, so we can’t fix the software or provide one-to-one technical support. The common errors page and FAQ answer most questions.
If you’re reporting a patching problem
These details make any report, to us or anyone else, much easier to act on:
- your operating system and Delta Patcher version (shown in the About dialog);
- the patch name and where it came from;
- your source file’s name, size and checksum;
- the exact error text from the log.
