Information we collect
Hosting logs
Like almost every website, the servers that deliver this site may record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. This is used to run the site securely and diagnose problems, and is kept only as long as the hosting provider needs it.
Analytics
This site doesn’t currently use any analytics or tracking services. If that changes, this section will describe exactly what’s used, and any service that sets cookies will only load with your consent.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply and to act on your message, and we don’t add you to any mailing list.
Information stored in your browser
- Checklist ticks on guide pages exist only while the page is open and aren’t saved or sent anywhere.
- The site search downloads a small index file and runs entirely in your browser. Your searches aren’t sent to us.
Third-party websites
Download buttons and references link to other sites, including GitHub, Flathub and the xdelta project. When you follow those links, their privacy policies apply, not this one. The site doesn’t embed third-party widgets, videos or social media buttons.
Fonts and assets
All fonts, icons and scripts are served from this website itself, so loading a page doesn’t contact font or icon services.
Children
This site isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information about you. Because we collect so little, most requests concern emails you’ve sent. Contact us and we’ll help.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated. Material changes, such as adding a new analytics service, will be described on this page.
